First.

Well, we all believe our first one to be our last and the last one to be our first, don’t we?

But, my question is,will that heartbreak now be the cause of regret for the rest of your life? Or, will you be able to rise up from the experience richer and more evolved?

Things are difficult for you now, I know. I know you pinch the bridge of your nose everytime a memory comes up. I know your throat burns everytime you speak or think of her. But baby, things will change. And, they will change for good. Trust me.

There will come a time when you’ll no more think of what happened in your past rather how it taught you a lesson and changes you into a better version of yourself. You’ll no longer have anxiety jitters that you’ve now.

Listen, there’ll also come a time when you no more love her. When her name doesn’t make you heart beat fast. I won’t tell you’ve ‘moved on’ completely, but, ask yourself, haven’t you taken your first step towards moving on?

Go ahead, talk to people, visit places, drink lots of coffee, read books, click photos, connect with old friends. You’ll find joy in it. In small things. These will make you forget your pain, not completely, but, for a short period of time? Continue your hobbies, make new interests, know new things, do what you love. Love yourself.

This is the first and foremost thing you’ll have to do. Don’t be hard on yourself, be soft. Try to forgive yourself. Once, twice, seven times, seventy-seven times, seven hundred seventy-seven times, because then, you’ll bloom. You’ll bloom into a flower. And, who knows, you might attract another flower?

Listen love, don’t be afraid to fall in love, again. It will take a lot of time. Months, years maybe. But, when you see a girl in a bookstore, shop or park and you get those butterflies in your stomach, don’t be afraid to take a chance. Take one step at a time. When confident enough, take two. Because, why not?

You don’t stop learning to ride cycle, because you had an accident once, right? Then why give up on love because of a heartbreak? Have courage to let someone in.

Remember that quote that if you’d love the wrong person so much then why not the right one?

It’ll be tough to put away all these behind when you finally take a step. I understand. But, forgive what you can, stow what you can’t, use the happy memories as a source of strength. Live life step by step. And fall in love, okay?

All the best. ☺
